Hi!

My boyfriend has already filed for canadian PR and will get it in a few months time. We will get married in about 14-15 months time and I have decided to move with him as soon as I get married. Now, I want to continue to work in Canada and highly qualified at my job. Shall I just file an Express Entry Application right now or should I wait till we get married and then file as a dependent? Which one will be faster?

If you have more than year until you are getting married, i would recommend you to apply via express entry. Post ITA you can get PR in fairly short time and on contrary, dependent PR takes much longer. So, if you have good score, go for it.

How much is a good score?

Hi, a good score used to be in the 470-480 CRS range. However the most recent draw was a score of 534 with the previous draw being a cut-off at 468. Why the big jump is anyone's guess.

The most logical reason is that IRCC is attempting to bring refugees into the system and offsetting those refugee numbers with economic applicants to fill the Canadian immigration quota.

The most recent draw where the cut-off was 534 seems like the first step towards achieving the economic applicant-refugee balance. If the trend continues a good CRS score for the foreseeable future seems like 500+. Hope I am wrong though.
