Hello guys,
I would like to share my experience with Express Entry. I was common-law when I AOR and i chose spouse not accompanying since he has his own application open as well. First let me post my timeline below:
Jan 11 - ITA
Mar 27 - AOR
Apr 11 - ME Passed
May 12 - Background Check Status changed to N/A
Jun 30 - Additional documents requested
Jul 10 - PPR
Jul 12 - PP sent out
Aug 17 - PP received
Aug 19 - get married (this was planned and the whole mailing process takes longer than I thought. I didn't have time to plan for landing)
After that we contacted ircc to change my status, then on Sep 8, I received another email asking to send my passport again
Sep 15 - PP sent out again
Sep 26 - Application approved again, with new VISA document number, and the old one is cancelled
I think overall I am being relatively patient and ircc is actually doing things faster than I thought.
Hopefully I will receive my passport soon and I will be sharing my landing experience
It was really helpful that I found this forum, I learned a lot from the forum and I hope anyone who is undergoing the application process will receive their PPR soon as well
