Hi, I am an RN from the States and recently married my Canadian husband and moved to Canada Ontario. (nationality: South Korean) currently, going through PR card process and obtained a work permit.
Is it hard to find a job in Windsor, Ontario? I heard these days nurses are moving back to the States for various reasons (more pay, more job openings etc). in my case I am moving to Canada, so I am just a little concerned since people here often say RNs are going to Detroit.

Depends on the location but in general it is hard to get a full-time job. Many end up with a few part-time positions. Given the exchange rate US nurses get paid more. Also there a more levels of nursing in the states where you can be better compensated. Nurses in surgical settings can easily make over 100K. Once you get PR you can still commute to the US. There may be more need in Windsor if they have US as and option.

Thank you. Is it possible to work in the States with PR card? I heard people get TN visa thing but nurses won't be able to receive that visa.

TN visas are only open to Canadian citizens. You don't qualify for one as a PR.

Aren't you a US citizen? Thought you were when I suggested continuing work in the US when you got PR.
OP is South Korean.
