Hello,

I'm applying for a visitor visa to see my brother who moved since 1year and half to study master in IT in Canada .I work in Sweden and have good income, work in international company that allows me to travel a lot and have good quality of life here in Sweden.

My question is : when i choose Visitor Category there are some sub-categories : one is visiting family and / or friends and the second sub-category is Tourism.

I chose the first option as i'm visiting my brother, is that ok or this sub-category is for family members ,i.e. Wife, partner, children ? i have birth certificate showing all connection to parents as they requested that in one of the documents needed.

My brother wrote me an invitation where he put my details and his details and wrote as purpose Tourism / Family visit combined in which i will stay for one week.
I have enough money in my account and hold American Visa and UK visa 3 times, is there chances to get the TRV.

I look forward to hearing your feedback :-)

Family visit is fine.

What is “enough” money for you may not be “enough” in visa officers’ eyes. You may have a slightly better chance since you have US and UK visas, but your work in a third country like Sweden drives up the degree of difficulty for approval.

I have Permanent work in Sweden and valid residence and work permit, it's my brother who is studying in Canada, i will take care of all my financial expenses within one week of stay, have approx 25000 CAD , hope it's enough anyway.

Ok that may be fine.

In general, Canada doesn’t like it if you are working outside of your home country, even if you have all the valid permits. Keep that in mind...just work hard on your application and proving your ties to Sweden. Look through this forum for examples on good practices to apply and bad practices to avoid.
