Do you know if they allow us to choose the certificate format when they send the oath invitation email, or does it depend on what was selected when filling out the application? Is there a way to request a change in the certificate format?

Hi, I don't know of such things.

To be honest, at our ceremony, they didn't even ask if I wanted the paper certificate or e-certificatw. Everyone was getting the paper one in the in-person ceremony.

So I think it really depends on your ceremony type. If in person, most likely you'll have a paper one; and with the virtual ceremony, you can request to have the paper one if you want; otherwise, they'll give you the e-certificate.
