Regarding working hours

Hello,
I came to Canada on 29 August 2017. I had my one-year postgraduate diploma in palliative care nursing in Niagara college Welland, which is going to complete on 30 May 2018. Moreover, my study visa is till 31 July 2018. I am going to complete my one programme within 2 days without any gap. Now I want to take my next study in may but I do not get the offer letter in that course which I want because that programme was already filled. so, I applied for September intake and within one week I will get my offer letter for my next study, after that, I will apply for the extension of my study permit. My question is that the time period from May to August I can work as a full time or part-time? My most of the seniors say that you can do full time but some say that you can not so I am confused about what to do.

You can't work full time because you're on a student visa and students can work only for 20 hours/week.

You cannot work at all between programs. If you work at any point between finishing your current program and starting your new one in September, you will be working illegally.
