Hello everyone, I am an International student in Montreal.
I got the refusal letter from CIC for my status restoration. My previous status expired on 31st Jan 2018 and there was a delay in my CAQ. Therefore I filled for the restoration of status and study permit on 26th March 2018 (within 90 days after expiration). On 30th April I got a letter asking me to submit all my official transcripts from the date of entry till present and I had to submit it by 7th May 2018. After getting all my transcripts from colleges that I attended in Canada. I submitted the documents on 7th May and today (9th May) I got the refusal letter and the reason mentioned was that:
"In your case, you have not responded to a request for information sent to you via letter dated 30APR2018 and you have not satisfied this officer you continue to meet the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations as a genuine temporary resident; therefore you are not eligible to have your temporary resident status restored.
Since you no longer hold temporary resident status in Canada your application for a Study and Work Permit is also refused.
Based on careful review of the information contained in your application and all of the documentation you have provided in support of your application, I have concluded that you do not meet the requirements of the Act and Regulations.
[X] You are a person in Canada without temporary resident status who is no longer eligible for restoration under Section 182 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations.
[X] You are a person in Canada without legal status and as such are required to leave Canada immediately. If you do not leave Canada voluntarily, enforcement action may be taken against you."
When I called CIC, the agent told me that he can only give me the information and advised me to leave the country voluntarily.
I am really confused and tensed at this point. What should I do?
