reduction in sponsors earnings since application - does it affect the submission

Does a reduction in a sponsors earnings after submission of an application constitute a change of status and does it need to be notified ? My daughter and son in law as joint sponsors still earn jointly more than the stated amount necessary but due to redundancy my daughters income has reduced since the application was submitted. Any comments would be appreciated.

No, they filled out what papers they needed to fill out when they applied. If CIC requests updated information, they can do that, otherwise no.

Thanks for the reply Leon.
My daughter has been worrying about that and although she has a new job which pays fairly well she is earning less than at the time of submission and thought that not notifying changes would be prejudicial to our case which as we established in earlier questions is not likely to move to the next stage until at least August 2010. It is also likely that there will be another addition to their family in the meantime meaning a period of maternity leave. Will that have any effect on the process other than to increase the low income requirement?
