RECENT BOWP APPROVALS - Timeline

Hey,

I thought I'd create a thread for persons who have applied for BOWP since January 2015 & received approval from CIC. I myself applied online on February 19th & am currently biting my nails waiting for a decision, but the processing time keeps increasing.

Hearing from you guys how far along they are would help us to gauge response time a bit better.

Yes I applied February 24th online they are gone so slow.

I applied on February 19th as well, and my visa expires on March 28th... I really hope I didn't do anything wrong with my application otherwise I'm screwed... :/

Applied on January 21st and got approval on March 14th. Have not yet received it by mail, should be another week or two.

Thanks mjaffer53! At least we know it's a little farther along than what they are saying on the website. These delays are painful though! I have a job opportunity for the end of this month and I have a few more weeks to wait on BOWP it seems

Applied on 25th , no answer yet. Got an email that your file has been update but no change when I checked my account

That's normal. It's the officers working on your file internally when you don't see an update despite an email telling you there is one.

Hello,

I applied for bowp on February and I haven't still received it. I know that I will be on implied status when my current work permit expires. I will continue to work at the same company as before. Does anyone know if I have to give sth to the company to prove that I am under implied status? I have a confirmation from cic that my application was received, but nothing else. Does anyone have previous experience at that?

You don't have to provide any document to your company, unless they ask for it. I have been in this situation for twice. My company never asked for any document, so i never mentioned any thing about implied status to my company...
