Hi,
I'm currently working in Canada and as per CIC I get eligibility to apply for Canada PR .while I'm filling my application I'm bit confused in answering 2 questions.

Can any one please help me in clarifying it.

1. Last country stay with in 5 yrs : I was staying in UK England for almost 7 years I got England permanent residence . Question is : if I mention my status as PR Will there be any problem with the case worker .

2. I would like to add my parents to the dependents list and I would like to mention that they are not accomplying . Can anyone please help me what could be the best answer as they are not interested to come to Canada may be in near future if situation changes then they will come. Can I include them as dependents?

Please let me know your responses and help me in filling my application

Thanks in advance ..

Hi naga.msbi,

the fact that you are a permanent resident of the UK will not have any negative impact on your PR application in canada.
you can not add your parents as dependents,CIC only considers(spouse,common-law partner and children as dependents) but you MUST include your parents, brothers and sisters in the additional family members form.

good luck.

Even if there is a problem with you mentioning your Uk PR status you have to mention it as it comes as a direct question (12) in the form. If you decide not to mention it and you get caught (which you will surely be as something as big as this) then that will be an immediate refusal and probably a ban.

You have to answer trustfully. FORGET about "would this affect my case?" or "should I mention?".

The form has IMM 0008DEP has the slots to do all this. Question 11 asks if they will be accompanying you. You must answer NO. Then in the reason be specific and concrete but overall you should be honest.

If you see there is no question "Would your dependants like to immigrate in the future?" so no need to mention anything else.

Stick to the questions, don't volunteer information and most important BE HONEST.
