Query about IELTS certificate !!!!!!!

I am preparing to submit my application to Buffalo visa office. They have asked to send the original IELTS certificate. When they will return that OR whether they will return it at all ?

Usually every visa office has to return the originals. But by any chance if they do not, then you ca request for additional certificate from British Council or their partners.

Having said ILelts...any idea if i scored less than 7.5 in listening and in the total i got more than the needed will that balance things???
