Hello folks 2 quick questions here:

Does NDVO work on the weekends?

Is it advisable to call NDVO and find out status of PR application post 6 month period or do they boot you off the line for asking so?

No, they don't work on weekends.
You'll probably get some generic reply, nothing concrete, if you send an email or make a phone call.
I suggest you either call for gcms notes / or call their canadian call centre. But if your file has been transferred to the local vo, Ottawa won't be able to give much info either.

Yeah my file is in NDVO for sure per my previous GCMS notes and I had ordered one on July 19th which haven't arrived yet.

So basically means wait for the GCMS, that's it right? Sigh!

AOR 10th March (FSW Outland No PNP/LMIA)
BG - Not needed after it briefly switched to IP initially
Medical, R10 & A11.2 passed from CIO with no apparent concerns, all happened within 1st week of application.
After file got transferred to NDVO eating dust

Please share information about this

The Indian police clearance! No one here had shared anything black and white about it here! How many days it took for you guys to get it if you are Indians living in middle-east?

I went and applied on the same day I received ITA. I thought I am on time. It was only after going there I was taken aback, for they told me they have absolutely no idea when I will be able to get it!! And the slip given to track reads in bold letters "Delivery Date: MINIMUM FORTY WORKING DAYS FROM DATE OF SUBMISSION"

Minimum 40 working days is 60 calendar days!

In the worst case scenario if I cant get it before 60 days what can I do? I have to plead CIC, I know, but there must be a better effective way of letting CIC know the issue at hand so that they might consider an extension or something.

Friends who know more about this or been here yourself kindly shed some light please.,

Well., I can't thank all of you here enough, I really feel like a brotherly community!

Please do say a word or two about the things I mentioned, I feel a bit desperate.,

If at all you are not able to get it before you submit you application to cic, then you'll have to prepare a loe explaining why you weren't able to submit the pcc. Along with thst you'll also have to submit the document which shows that it'll take longer than 2 months / 60 days to obtain the pcc. Cic in this case will be considerate. I think this information is available on the cic website in the documents to be submitted section.
Infact, a lot of applicants who have had to submit a fbi pcc (for usa) have had to do this since fbi takes a long time to prepare it.

every applicant from india is tagged to NDVO right? (i'm not referring to inland indian applicants who are currently based out of Canada)

Can we order GCMS notes when we are located in India?

I thought one needs to have a canadian address to order them.
