Hi,

I would like to have a clarification here.

I entered Canada in March 2018 on an LMIA approved Work Permit/ Job Offer.
I am still working with the same employer.
My initial WP was for 1 year validity so this March 2019 my employer filed for another WP.
It was filed in C-20 Reciprocal program.

As per CIC it qualifies to be an LMIA expempt job offer.

Question - Will I still be able to get the points for
1. LMIA approved Job Offer
2. 1 Year Canadian experience

I submitted my EE profile on CIC website last night and the calculation they came up with was 50 points less than my CRC calculaor estimate.

I figured this could be because I answered NO for this question
Is this job offer for work that is non-seasonal?

I updated this answer to Yes and submitted my profile again. I hope this was the reason why they deducted the 50 points.

Could someone please throw some light here?

Thanks,

There are no points for an "LMIA approved job offer," there are however points for a "valid" job offer (which in some circumstances can include LMIA-exempt employment). However, you would need a written job offer from your employer, offering at least one year of full-time employment AFTER you obtain your PR status.

2. 1 Year Canadian experience
??? why not?
