Hi everyone, I just realize that when I got my Ita, I am 2 days away from my 52 weeks work experience ( I have been working for more than 12 months). So... Do you guys think I should apply with this Ita? Or should I wait for another round? Thanks all of you, so so much for the advice!

Can you offer a few more details, for example, are you a part-time worker? When you say you are short by 2 days, do you mean you are short the hours from 2 days, or 2 calendar days, or.. ?

Hi jes, Thank you so much for replying! I guess I have accidentally deleted my previous reply..

So here's my situation: I worked for a total of 64 hours in November 2017. Then I started to work full-time ( 37.5/week) from December 1st 2017 till now (including 3 months paid training session at the beginning). However, I took an unpaid 2-weeks vacation during my training period in January 2018 (so it's unpaid), which is not stated on my letter of employment, but will show on my payslips. Based on the recent invitations, I guess the next Ita would be around Nov 28/ 29 ish, and at that time, I will be 1/2 days away from my 1-year full-time experience, right? So I am wondering should I wait for few more weeks before I accept the Ita ( Since I have a relatively high score and is likely to be invited once I enter the pool..)

BTW, I have tested and I can enter the pool with all my current information ( maybe it's a system mistake?) I am looking forward to hearing back from you experts! Thanks a million!

Most people like to have some extra days over the 52 weeks when they get the ITA. Your calculation looks right. However, one point to consider you took your 2 weeks unpaid leave in Jan 2018 but have you been accumulating holiday entitlement or holiday pay included in your pay? i.e will you have some unused holiday accumulated as at Nov 28/29? If you have that might push you over the 52weeks. I think 2 weeks paid holiday per year is considered normal.

Yes it will accept your profile because the system only considers the start and end month instead of exact dates so it will assume full months and think you have 12months when you don't.

Thank you for your help with this! I talked with my consultant and we decided to wait for another month or so before I accept my ITA. Since I am applying under CEC, I don't want the VO to think I am not eligible for the program while looking at my file...

Good plan, and you are fortunate that you have the flexibility to do this (not everyone does).
