Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi Guys,

Would appreciate some sound advice. My Wife is on Study Permit which is due to expire at the end of September and but her Master's technically finishes off at the end of April. I am guessing she'd probably receive her Transcripts then. I am on an open work permit which also expires at the end of September. So my query is:

1) If my wife applies for PGWP (let's say in May), do I also have to apply for a dependent visa/permit along with her or can I just wait until my current status expires before applying to renew my permit?

As I am already working and my current status expires in September, I am a bit reluctant to let that status change. I am assuming that spouse can only receive an open work if the PGWP applicant has a job at hand. Thus, just wondering if both spouses are supposed to apply together or can the main applicant apply before, get a job and then apply for the open work permit for spouse (in our case).

Thanks for reading,
Have a good day.

1. You can wait till September.
2. You will get a second open work permit only if spouse has a NOC O,A,B job. It will be valid as long as your spouse PGWP.
