So, me and my girlfriend are planning to get married soon. I'm originally from North India and she's Canadian(born). So, i'm completely noob in this immigration or any type of stuff which involves official paperwork really. So, can anyone help me walkthrough the process. What are the requirements and stuff??? Like how long does the process take, anything really???
I'm a International Student. I've been in canada for 6 months and I have visa for 2 years.

You should start here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/index.asp

Good luck

You want a stranger over the Internet to give you complete hands-on control and guidance for the entirety of an intensive application process that can take up to 3 years and would completely change not only your life but also your fiance's life and any children either of you have.....and to do so for free?

Go to the CIC website start there: http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/getting-started.asp

I can tell you now though that you don't need to get married and should have a few options already.

You need to be married or common-law (living together 12 consecutive months) before you can apply. If you apply outland through the New Delhi visa office, then you are looking at around 1 year for the process to get your PR.

Start here for the basics: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/spousal-sponsorship-t46995.0.html

What exactly do you mean by that?

Maybe he means that you could get sponsored if you live together as a couple for 12 months or longer (common law) or that as a student in Canada, you could find a way to apply on your own.
