Hello I am a Zambian Citizen married to a Canadian. We sent our application in September 2014 through our lawyer. In November my wife got approved to be a sponsor. On ECAS it now says
We received your application on 18th September
Started process on 2nd June 2015
A decision has been made
my question is how long does it take to receive the mail for further instructions and will this include a passport request

First of all congratulations.
It can take a few days to several weeks.

We didn't receive our final correspondence until May 26, and it was approved May 4, andt hat was COPR, but my spouse is from a passport exempt country. We are in North Western Alberta, so the mail would understandably be slower than if we were in Toronto for example.

I have no idea re: the passport request. I don't know anything about the process for Zambian citizens.
