Passport request: quick questions

Hi,

I'm new to this Forum and have recently applied for PR under the CEC category. I recieved my AOR on August 6th. I will need to travel out of the country almost every month until April 2015 and i am wonderuing if this will conflict with the PPR. My questions are:

1) When does the CEC typically ask for passports? Is there a chance of it being asked for before May 2015?
2) How long do they keep it?
3) What happens if i choose to submit it after i complete my travel?
4) I have applied from within Canada - will they need the whole family's passport' s or just mine/principal applicant?

Understanding this would really help me plan better!

Most probably yes. You will get your PPR if your application is successful.
2) How long do they keep it?
Around three weeks
3) What happens if i choose to submit it after i complete my travel?
You will have 60 days to submit your passport after the request is sent out. If you do not, your application is cancelled.
4) I have applied from within Canada - will they need the whole family's passport' s or just mine/principal applicant?
Passports for all individuals for which PR is being processed.

Understanding this would really help me plan better!

Thank you Maniac 2403! So it seems like it would be unwise to plan to travel in April out of the country? Is there an earliest time that the PPR could come for? For example - it takes at least 8 months etc.

My entire application right till landing took less than 7 months. That being said, you are safe for at least 4 months.
