Finally, received eCoPR for my niece on January 26, 2026. We got three ADR's after Portal 2 on November 14, 2025 due to the first miscommunication received from IRCC Montreal for payment of RPRF fee balance of $320 instead of the full $575. Sending multiple webforms and response to IRCC Delhi's emails finally helped resolve the issue. We also got the MP involved and they were able to directly contact the IRCC officer who helped ease the process. See my signature with full detail. Good luck everyone with your applications! You should qualify to sponsor your adult brother, as you dont have anyone else to sponsor and your brother and sister are not classified as orphans as they are adults. Also, you don’t have any relatives in Canada as PR or Citizens. Family Information Sheet is just a step they request to confirm the information that none of the people you could sponsor are in Canada. I had submitted this information in my application and they still asked for it, just a process I guess. Make sure you don’t miss out anyone on the information sheet. Good luck!

I received my PFL today under the “Other Relative” category on their website, which includes orphaned siblings. However, in my case, my siblings are adults and they are not being considered orphaned as they are over 22. Please help me out, I’m following the other relative category rules as stated in their website. Please read below——



Applicant has applied as the other relative pursuant to Section 117(1)(h) of Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulation which states that a foreign national is a member of the family class if, with respect to a sponsor, the foreign national is a relative of the sponsor, regardless of age, if the sponsor does not have a spouse, a common-law partner, a conjugal partner, a child, a parent, a grandparent, sibling and uncle, aunt, nephew or niece, who is a Canadian citizen, Indian or permanent resident, or.. whose application to enter and remain in Canada as a permanent resident the sponsor may otherwise sponsor.
