Is it allowed by CIC for one husband-wife pair to have two EE profiles (one with husband as PA and one with wife as PA) active at the same time?
here is the deal.
I am currently in the pool with CRS 458 with my wife contributing 30 pts as spouse. We were pretty certain we will get selected rightaway as the floor was in the 450s all along. Now, as soon as we created the profile (29feb2016), the floor moved to 470+ (talk about timing!).
So now we are looking around for any ways to scrape more points from the bottom of the barrel.
Now my wife is bilingual (english+french), so we figured she can write TEF and apply as PA and get extra points for that. The reason I applied as PA is I have a Phd and my wife has masters (14 extra points for me).
But with my wife being 2 years younger than me (extra 10 points) she can expect to end up in the 464-469 range (yet to write TEF).
Since the 470 is not a hard floor and is likely to soften to mid 460s in a couple of months she might have a real shot.
But I do not want to withdraw my EE profile entirely as I am fishing for an OINP.
Also I am far better prepared in term of paperwork ref letters etc than my wife as I was the PA all along (she will have to start collecting papers from scratch).
So the million dollar question is:
Can one couple have two EE profiles active simultaneously?
Or are we breaking some CIC rules?
Thanks all!
