@hims0912 I would suggest you to apply for your mother in India. In all honesty it is easier, simple and much quicker there. Also, you can fill her application online on be-half of her. from my exp. they only scan your docs Aadhar card, PAN, etc. even the signed application they just scan and give back your printed signed application form to you. Kudos to the system developed by TCS it is paperless on their end. I received my renewed passport within 50 hours of application submission something that is unusual about the govt services rendered in India. This was back in April 2021.

Below would be the link if applying from India you can also check and book the appt. slot as well for in person submission well in advance so things can also be planned for her with ease.

Below would be the link if applying from Canada

As for Super Visa renewal it should not be much of a hassle.

Good Luck !
Thank you so much for your response, i feel bad, some issue in my phone as i had been checking everyday and didn't see any new post but i logged in my laptop today and saw the reply, thank you so much for this. I will take your advice and wait to apply for passport from India, last time when i applied for her i went with her to the TCS office (and incidentally back then i was working for TCS :) and you are right the process was good and now should be even better.

My mother will be leaving soon (In November) for India as she needs to have at least 6 months of validity left on passport to travel back (her passport expiring in July 2023). I am thinking to get atleast her upfront medical done here otherwise she will need to travel alone to Delhi to get her med done. I will be applying for her new supervisa as soon as the current one will expire in July 2023 and since this upfront medical exam will be valid for 1 year i can just submit IMM 1017B Upfront Medical Report form at the time of submitting the application for supervisa next year. Can you or someone here please suggest if they have got upfront med done here in Canada? OR is it not advisable since i will be applying for her new supervisa towards end of July next year (once the current one will expire) and by then this medical report will be a bit old?

The status on BLS Toronto is 'ready for collection' of surrender certificate

I submitted my application on August 4th in person at the Brampton location. I'll get the certificate today and money order for my OCI application, planning to queue up tomorrow morning

Re Employment Letter for OCI

I did not submit any employment letter nor I was asked, i knew already that it was a optional document. While speaking to the clerk I double checked and she confirmed not all Indians who apply for OCI will have employment letters, some are senior people, house wifes, children, labour, business owners, people who work on cash/factory jobs etc... when they kept employment letter mandatory they faced many challenges, so instead they now made COPR mandatory from which they will pull out how a person got PR internally and employment checks are no longer required...

Whenever there website have a update, they will be listing COPR document requirement in upload section as well as in paper application
Is COPR a mandatory document because it is not listed on the website?

Hi All, Does Brampton BLS office allows walkins for surrender certificates - does any of you know, kindly comment please

Do you upload self attested documents?
where to upload address proof and NOC for minor?

Can one person submit the OCI applications for all whole family(3) or everyone required to be present for the submission?
