Was thinking I should just travel to Canada and stay there for a few months and hoping that speeds up the process
I do not think it will speed up the process. It does not matter how much they say that they are focusing on applicants already physically in Canada, the truth is that they are not working on FSW applications and nothing will make them change their mind.

@legalfalcon : my GCMS notes says Medical: Passed - Expired. It got expired on October 2020 and got extended until 31st March 2021. And the last note regarding medical was made on 18th December 2020 saying "Meds not valid for atleast 6 months". What do you think that means ? Should I get an upfront medical done or wait for them to request? AOR November 2019, OINP, Outland.

Thank you in advance.

Wow... Now we can't even ask IRCC about the status of our application... Raised a webform recently asking about the progress of my application and got this is return....

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

In order to respond to a high volume of enquiries related to the crisis in Afghanistan, we have needed to shift resources in our Client Support Centre. This will impact our ability to respond to some of your enquiries.

We will respond to these priority enquiries only:

· Clients in crisis situations (like those affected by the situation in Afghanistan)

· Clients facing vulnerable circumstances (emergency and urgent requests)

· Clients who need to tell us about a change in their circumstances, which has a direct impact on their application (like marriage, birth of a child, or similar)

· Clients who are submitting documents requested by one of our officers

· Changes in contact information

· Requests to withdraw an application or refunds

If your enquiry is NOT one of the priority enquiries listed above, you will not receive a reply.
I got the same response, Yeah we are not a priority, it is like ‘we spit, you should clean your face and move on, and look again so we can spit again’, that is exactly what is happening to us all, this is a diplomatic abuse by IRCC. We are never a priority, earlier it’s pandemic, yest travel restrictions you can’t travel, today Afghan refugees, tomorrow something, “it is a poor workmanship who blames his tools” nothing much we can do. This is a pure sign of incompetency and wracked process and system. Just wait along or move on with our life, This isn’t fair, (as if IRCC cares what we all think)

Hello! Received my PPR last week, the following is my timeline

VO: CIO Sydney
COR: India
Nationality: Indian
AOR: 27 Nov 2019
Meds passed: 17 Dec 2019
First GU: 18 Dec 2019
Second GU: 13 Jan 2020
Third GU: 6 July 2020
Meds expired in Nov 2020
Meds extended till March 2021
Upfront Medicals done: 7 July 2021
Remedical request: 21 September 2021
Medicals passed: 22 September 2021
PPR: 23 September 2021

Upfront medicals were not updated by IRCC so I called the medical center after getting the remedicals request. Medical center asked for the emedical sheet that they issued to me after doing the upfront medicals along with the Remedicals request letter which they then sent to IRCC on 22 September 2021, asking IRCC to link the medical report with my file, medicals got passed the same day. Got PPR mail from CIO/BRCD
Current status: Passport in transit from VFS to IRCC for visa stamping and COPR

Wow, almost 2 years! Congratulations, bud. You deserve this after such a long wait. :) Enjoy that moment of relief when you get your passport back and see the stamp inside.
