Any advantage of getting it done upfront..??
If they start processing our application, wouldn’t they ask for one..??
If you get it done upfront you might save some time. With covid delays, even if your medical expires IRCC will take some time to send you an email, or maybe they will auto-extend the validity for another 6 months. Doing an upfront medical is more of a precaution to avoid further delays, and to get everything up to date from our end.

anyone with AOR from 2019 still waiting for first PPR?
I am .. AOR dec 2019.. Country of residence India, Stream FSW-O.. As per GCMS my application was approved in Apr 2020.. God knows whats happening and when IRCC plans to provide an update.. My life feels like its put on hold thanks to ircc.. Its ridiculous waiting with no idea what they intend to do.. I keep hoping that I will wake up to something related to a PPR but nothing.. Seems like a distant dream..

‘Anyone’ sounds more like few, I’m thinking ‘everyone’ cuz there are so many people with Nov 2019 AOR, I’m one of them,
my application was approved in March 2020, and I thought IRCC has highest standards of fairness, like first come first serve and all.
I’m wrong, it’s uncouth and appalling way of processing applicants with no proper plan or strategy, which is costing our lives now.

Agreed.. but wouldn’t they change their medical requirements post Covid..?? I think they might include few more tests. Nevertheless, still
Planning to get one done. Processing of medical
results are also delayed.

Guys,

What are your thoughts on going for upfront medicals? Aor 2019 Nov. My medicals expired in Oct 2020 and they are extended until Oct 2021. Do you think the medicals will be extended once again or is it ok to go for upfront medicals?

From my knowledge medicals can be extended only once, at least according to the policy used by IRCC in the past. If they expire again they will ask you for new medical exams. I would personally suggest to go for upfront medicals when you are close to the expiration of the extension or to wait for instructions.

Hi Guys, just received my GCMS notes for the 3rd time yesterday. Can we decipher anything from this?

Group Name has changed this time:

GROUP NAME: 1
Created Date: 2021/04/16
Updated Date: 2021/05/10
Group #: Different number from before
Name:: PA Overseas
Status: Closed
Type: PR - Other

Last time it was COVID PACE group:

GROUP NAME: 1
Created Date: 2020/06/04
Updated Date: 2021/02/08
Group #: Different
Name:: CN COVID PACE
Status: In Progress
Type: PR - Other

Does this indicate we're out of the COVID PACE group and they will start processing applications now? Also, what does the Status: Closed mean??

In Document Issuance section, I'm seeing this:
