Hello,

I have a doubt in my NOC. I have selected my NOC as 2171.

My roles and responsibilities in work include managing an ERP Tool. I am in the IT Team though.
In company they said me that when you will leave company we will write that you were functional analyst.
1....So my doubt here is that am i in the correct NOC ?
Or should i choose a different one?
For details i have mentioned my job responsibilities below.

2...Also, when i looked at the NOC responsibilities again in the 2171 section they (CIC) also need the following

"Employment requirements

A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, business administration or a related discipline
or
Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required.
Experience as a computer programmer is usually required.
Certification or training provided by software vendors may be required by some employers.
" (I do not have this since i am not a programmer and i am a functional or business analyst. So is this applicable to me?)

I am the admin for the ERP tool. Following are my duties which i know.

• Identifying use cases and transforming them into logical and technical views.
• Customizing the Business Area and ensuring the System acts according to the constraints of the Use Case
• Designing Workflows and keeping a track record of the Projects, Engagements and Clients, Invoices, Reports created in the Tool.
• Conducting Various Testing : Exploratory Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Regression Testing, Performance Testing and making sure that the system is usable, performing appropriately and the business flow is complete and correct.
• Interaction with Core team members, End users and Changepoint team Vendors
• Timely updating the User Manual incase of any changes in the features of the Tool
• Conducting Inductions & Training Sessions atleast once a week for the new joiners and twice in a month for the company respectively to understand the functioning of ERP Tool precisely.
• Assigning User licenses, providing roles and feature access as per designation.
• Assisting the Team Leads and HODs with Reports for a respective situation and explaining Reports in detail.
• Conducted training sessions for New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru , Texas and London locations

Please let me know have i choosed the correct NOC in EE profile. If not please gudie me with the correct NOC.

Thank you in Advance.

Regards,

NOC 2171 seems appropriate. Try and rewrite your responsibilities to better reflect your areas of work across the entire SDLC and include commonly used words in NOC main duties such as requirements gathering, quality assurance (testing by another name), service delivery etc.

Ignore the lines in bold - they are more recommendation than mandate.

All the best!

Going with what asivad said - the keywords here are "usually required" and "may be required". Denotes that these conditions may not apply in all jobs. no worries.. ;)
