hey guys,

I have just had a bank statement and I have noticed that the immigration has took our processing fees out on the 15th April however we have had no email from them and none of our documents back?

we printed 2 copies of the application pack off when we submitted it and I have checked the spare set and the email address we provided is correct.

we also checked spam/junk folders and nothing unless other half has deleted as junk by accident but he reckons not!

we have been reading through the posts we could find of ppl whos been in the same situation as us but we still unsure where to contact about this?
do we contact london and see if they can help or contact the office we sent application too?
we have no file number or anything yet so we could only give name etc!
and I have looked for telephone number for the CIO and you have to live in Canada to ring them so we worried now and not sure what to do ???
Any advice would be appreciated
thanks in advance.x

Check your spam folder in the email

Anyone? :o

I have emailed london office and explained what i have told yous so what happens if I dont get an email or any post do i still get all the docs they need and when london reply (if they reply) to tell me the status of our application shall I send the supporting docs onto them?

I am really worried not so any advice would be really appreciated.xx :-*

when did u send ur file to CIO?? usually CIO takes 45 to 120 days to send you the confirmation email. In most general cases, cio sends email after 60 days...

so if u;ve sent ur file just 1 month back, dont panic, you will soon receive the email....i noticed that most of the applicant has received their AOR between 60 to 75 days...

cheers...

also they now asking for my work history (am not principle) and tbh i can only get my job I work in at the min to give me a reference cos I dont even think the companys are there anymore and i sort of guessed the exact dates i worked for them previous emplyers cos I really couldnt remember eaxctly so do I just leave them out or have to get a decleration?

oh right will it make a difference to our application if I only send my employers I work for now reference in as we havent got any points on my work history its all come from my partners as hes principle applicant so surely my old work history shouldnt make a difference to our application

also where would I get old tax info as I havent kept any old p60s from jobs that I worked years ago I only have my last 3 p60s from the job am currently in and been in for last 3 years and also sorry for been dumb but whats a affidavit? lol

thanks again.x

:D oh if that's the case you might as well get an affidavit from a notary public, its a sworn statement that you make regarding your job experience. If you don't have any other documents the affidavit would suffice and as well as a written letter of explanation on why you don't have the other requested documents.

i agree that the spouse's work experience should count too much, but then they might need this to counter check our declarations on the activity part of the application where you need to provide dates as well as what you are doing then ;D
