Need to pay process fee for nonaccompanying spouse

Does any one know whether CIC requires C$550 for the application fee for nonaccompanying spouse? Please help.

Did you check the right box? There might be a mistake.
Maybe the officer overlooked that the spouse is not accompanying? Could happen...
There is no reason why u should have to pay the fee.
I would write a letter/email and check with CIC.

He is jus asking if CIC asks to pay for non accompanying spouse. I think he might have made clear in form that spouse is not accompanying; thts y he's asking..

You dont have to pay for any non accompanying dependent. I don't think CIC would ask you for that.

Thanks very much for the reply. Just like Vishal said, I checked the box for non-accompanying spouse. But the payment detail did not mention whether payment applies to nonaccompanying spouses, and I don't want my application returned for non-sufficient payment. So I just include the amount for him anyway. Does anyone have a similar situation and was OK'ed by CIC not to pay the fee? If so, please let me know.

I think you should not have included the fees for nonaccompanying spouse as it's not required. Bcoz CIC might return the application due to incorrect fees.
If you have already sent it to CIC, then lets jus hope that they will return only excess money but application.
