Hi guys,

I will get my PR card under CEC by October this year. My to-be wife will have her application under processing (also CEC) for 3 months.

We plan to marry in India in December and return to Canada during mid-Jan.

I suspect she might receive PPR during this time or might be about to receive one.

Could you please help me figure out what would be the process and consequences of informing CIC about our marriage.

Will she be able to land back in Canada:

1. If PR is still under process and PPR has not been received. (she will have open work permit)

2. If she has received PPR while we were in India.

Thanks

Assuming you become a PR in October, if you get married before she can land, she has to inform the change in marital status to IRCC, regardless of whether or not she receives PPR. Simple as that.
If you want to avoid all this, marry after she lands.
