I got my medicals sent end of october, still no reply from cic. Patience is so important but i feel the anxiety. All the best to all of us who are waiting.

Mine was not moved.

How about moving within Canada? I applied for background check from the police and it never came, I had to fill all cities I have lived in on the form and it said the more cities you have lived in the longer it will take. Have you guys changed residence a lot within Canada? We should be able to figure out what is causing the abnormal delay with our applications. Obviously it wouldn't help us but it is something that may help future applicants (i.e. don't travel a lot, don't travel to specific countries or avoid moving within Canada, etc.)

I got the below reply to my email from CIC

"Please note that your application is still under review, and while we process applications as expeditiously as possible, each application is unique and we are unable to guarantee a specific time frame for its completion. Furthermore, as a reminder, please be advised that the average processing times, for CEC applications are of 13 months.

You will be advised regarding the next steps in your file, in due time."

What does that mean? Is there a possibility for rejection?

Until you have landed rejection is always a possibility! However, you are not alone in your wait so I really wouldn't worry... It could be a number of things: -

- Depending on where you are from, your security check could be taking a long time
- There is likely a back log of work and applications moved from Buf - CPP-O.
- We must all remember, delays are not because our files are constantly being worked on. The IO does something (reviews something, requests checks, sends us a letter) and then a date is added (usually 60 days) for it to be reviewed again. The IO deals with 1000's of applications simultaneously ! There are months where nothing happens to our applications!

You are still well within the average processing time so have faith! Why don't you apply for your gcms notes to try and get an idea of what's happening?

2 months and 1 week. I landed on Nov. 19, 2012 and my PR card was issued January 18, 2013. And 5-7 days for mailing. Then i got it yesterday January 28.

I have questions about my medical. I send two emails to the pilot office with no response. Does any one know a phone number so we can call them?

So you got MR finally. you give bad news everywhere, but do not mention good ones.
