I am just wondering. When I reply outland from Manila. When they send the letter with the decision, how is it sent dhl, fedex? From Manila or from Canada?

Wondering how they send out letters? And from where?

If I will be in Manila until my wife is approved. Should I give that as the mail address. Or, have someone in Canada look at my letters for me.

Thanks

Hi,

Any reply from CIC will not be by courier.
They send letter by post, or E mail, or fax.

Infact your question is not very clear.

There will be two letters with a decision.

The first is sent from Mississauga, Canada - it is the letter saying the sponsorship is approved and it is sent to the sponsor's mailing address.

The second one is sent from Manila and it is sent to the applicant's mailing address (so the person applying for PR). That letter will ask the applicant to send their passport to the embassy in Manila and/or possibly ask for additional documents.

From what I've heard, the mail in the Philippines isn't the most expedient of things (people have gotten a letter a month after it was mailed before), so if possible I'd keep your (the sponsor's) mailing address in Canada. It's unlikely they'll send anything important there anyway, usually the applicant is contacted for things.
