I am planning to do US CMA before landing in Canada. Can someone please let me know if it is worthwhile in getting a good job in Canada? Is CMA from US valid in Canada?

It depends.
I have one in addition to a related Master's (European) and I believe it's better than not having it. If you want to have an accounting career my experience is that there is a fixation on having a Canadian CPA.
Financial Analyst jobs might be a bit different but be prepared for employers picking Canadian CPAs over you unless you have specific skills.
