hello folks,

Based on my quick research it does appear that the outland procedure to sponsor wife is a lot quicker than the inland one is it true? I know for outland the timeline depends on the visa processing center of country where the spouse is in. but over all it does look like outland is much faster is it true?

I would like to know because my wife is in USA as a student.i would be in canada end of this month. I am planning to apply for her sponsorship the moment i reach canada. but either way my wife plans to come to canada as a student. I would like to see the option of filing for her sponsorship once i reach canada or wait for her to come as a student and than go thru the inland procedure. Any idea would be very much appreciated. Please advise. Thank you very much

Hi,

Out-land is faster.
Once you reach Canada you can sponsor her as spouse.

You can sponsor her outland whether she is outside Canada or not. Outland vs inland doesnt mean your physical position, only the visa office.
However, outland is generally faster, it also has the right of appeal. If she applies outland from in Canada and is called for an interview, she would have to travel out of Canada for it.
Good luck.

Read the Leon post at the top of the main page for an overview of inland and outland.

Thanks a lot folks.

I am more concern just in case if she dont student visa. so thats why i wanted to start the process right away. thanks again. Any other advise is most welcome.
