Is the French test mandatory for Quebec immigration?

French is not mandatory, if you have enough points with English test. Also,if you have enough points without a language test altogether, it is still possible to apply.

After adding up our points, which was greater than 59 , we went through the page about eligibility and it said we are not eligible!
Should we go ahead and apply anyway ?

there must be a bug, seems like a lot of posts are appearing about people scoring very good points, over 60 etc. and test says not eligible. I would apply anyway, and contact MIDI that this is a recurring issue about the points...

Hi Friends,

In my case I'll need to take the French exams (my wife and I have 56 points without French), however, my current fluency is not good enough to get a B2 (minimum level to score).

My question is, can I apply now and, let's say, in 6 months from now (when I'll have already taken the exams) I upload the necessary documents? Or I necessarily have to wait until I take the exams and just then apply?
