is a highschool diploma from south america recognized in Canada?

Hi,
I am a German, but grew up in South America, and did my highschool there (12th year).
Although I am living in Germany at the moment, I was thinking about moving to Canada and go to the University -or make an apprenticeship-. But I need to know if highschool diplomas from other countries are accepted in Canada and I cant find information about the topic.

There is a possibility of acceptance in canadian unis, u would have to get yr transcripts sent to the unis if u want to apply for unis for assessment, it will all depend on the individual unis admission standards. No one can answer yr questions unless its direct from the uni or high school.
