I am a student studying software engineering and I created very successful projects in my early years. I heard that software engineers can migrate with express entry in canada, but I want to ask about the ECA factor for this. What is the importance of an engineering degree for this? How does the process proceed for someone who has not received a diploma but is very talented in this field? What are your recommendations for someone who wants to work in the software field in canada in the future? Thank you very much for your answers in advance

Express Entry is based on points so if you have a masters (more points) while you get less points for a diploma. So education is very important to be eligible for EE and to have enough CRS points for an invitation. You can immigrate if you have enough points for education, language, age and skilled work experience. The Immigration Canada website has all the information for EE- Federal Skilled Workers program. Calculate whether you are even eligible first.

If I get a job offer from a company in canada, is there a requirement in the form of a university degree to work in canada? Does the diploma matters for immigration to Canada after having already added 600 points instead of the diploma points that the diploma would add?
