I hope someone can provide some information regarding why is it that VOs don't send out interview letters or inform their clients of upcoming interviews. My only clue that I have an interview scheduled is on e-CAS. I have no idea what time it is, the location or what documents I should have in possession for the interview.

This is getting overly frustrated. I have emailed the VO on many occasions using the word 'URGENT' in the subject line of the email and still I have not been able to gather any information.

Is e-CAS lying about the interview or is there something definitely gone wrong with my entire application. I am very close to filing a complaint about my application to the Program Manager at the VO but I am not so sure if that will be the right thing to do seeing that I will need to apply for ARC sometime soon.

As per the local MP office, there are of NO use.

I don't know where to turn or what to do next. Maybe someone can share a sample of their interview letter so I know what to gather and perhaps look out for.

Thanks.

hi,
first of all congratulations on your interview. think you will hear from them,i find it hard to believe that they have scheduled an interview without informing you, that would very unprofessional.i would suggest that you contact the immigration call centre at 1888-242-2100 and find out.at this point email will not work, cause it takes a while for them to respond, you need concrete proof that there is really an interview.

EXACTLY but I have no concrete proof. My application is out of Canada so CIC inland will not be able to provide any information on the status of the application or interview.

Thanks though for your response!

I remember SCsquare went through this so you might want to send him a personal message. As I recall he first found out on ecas, maybe even go the date from ecas, but waited and waited for official contact which came about 2 weeks before the interview date. I hope I have these details right, or maybe it was bobshynoswife and I'm confused, but they both could tell you more about the interview and contact procedures.

Good luck. Allison

confuse... the CIC # isn't for just inland applications... it's overall.. not sure what they can provide as it is a pretty basic-level call centre, but it's a good place to start, maybe they can get a supervisor or someone who can make a phone call and get you details...

good luck

It sounds quite frustrating but I think from what I've heard that giving you 2 weeks notice or less is not unusual. Tha'ts why they tell you not to leave the country during an inland application. You might need to come back on a moment's notice (so to speak) for an interview.

I wish you luck on the interview and I hope you can find out confirmation of information very soon. How do they expect you to book a flight with no notice?!

Well, not so lucky for me I got dipped back (deported) because my PRRA failed at the beginning of the year. But, I was questioning if I was still in Canada and this was the situation what would I have done.

A little update on the problem, I got an email confirmation finally from the VO stating the date and time of my interview and that I should bring additional evidence of our rship.

The official was apparently mailed out to our consultant but no one can account for it nor has it reached our mail box. I am going to live with the little confirmation i got from the VO.

Well, at least you know when and where you're supposed to be. That's at least some relief, anyway.
