Immigration from China to Montreal

I plan to marry a woman in China in January. We have a lot of documented evidence of the reality of our relationship. I was recently told that it is almost impossible for someone from China to be accepted into Quebec unless they can speak French. (I live in Quebec and was born and raised in Canada).

My plan was to marry in January and apply for a PR Visa, but also apply for TRV at the same time (apparently this is allowed..and is referred to as dual intent visa).

Will this be possible ?

What is the success rate for family class visas from China to Quebec ?

Is an immigration lawyer worth the money during the application or do you recommend waiting to use a lawyer in the even of a problem ? $3,000 for someone to process paperwork seems a bit excessive..

Thanks

I think you can choose only one: PR Visa or TRV at the same time but not both. No idea about the success rate but I managed to sponsor my wife and got her PR Visa from China to Vancouver.
