IMM1017 & Medical

Hi,

Today i received the notification online to perform a medical exam within 60 days with an IMM 1017 form ... So i had few things in mind which i am confused about

1) I only intended to visit for 3 months then why do they want a medical examination firstly? Like i read on the website if your stay is going to be less than 6 months than no examinations

2) It has only asked for Medical to be done. When will i be sending my passport? would i get another request online from CIC for that (If exams is passed) ? or should i just send it through fedex or gerrys now?

have you sent medical yet? I got medical request on the 18th also. My wife's PR case is also in progress so I'm trying to use the medical done for that application 2 months ago.
