I have a work permit and currently work in Canada.
My work permit isn't an open work permit. I can only work for my current employer.

Yesterday, my previous employer in my home country asked me help. They want me to work as telecommuter on weekends.

Of course, I can work legally in my country. However, I wonder is this fine for Canada?
I couldn't find answer(s) from CIC website.
Anybody please let me know... I would appreciate for your response.

Thanks,

oba

Regardless of the CIC aspect, will you be in violation of your current employer contract? Have you asked for their permission?

Thank you for reply.

When current employer gave me a job offer, they allowed me to work for another in my spare time.
My boss said work permit maybe won't affect working outside of Canada. However, they also don't know enough about permission.
I don't want to work illegally...

You can legally work for whoever you want OUTSIDE Canada on your free time.
