-MY timeline is for citizenship ,
-application received 21/1/2013 . ( montreal)
-in process 11/03/2013.
-RQ 24/09/2013 I sent it within 3weeks .
-notice to prepare to citizenship exam on 17/12/2013 .
-I did transfer my file to Ottawa , where is am living right now on 15/02/2014 , ECASE online status shows my new address in Ottawa .
-on 25/03/2014 I received (a MEDICAL OPINION REQUEST) with letter says they may waive for me citizenship exam and or citizenship ceremony because my mental issue (this letter from montreal citizenship office :o) they asked me to send it to my Psychiatrist doctor to let her answer some questions about me ,( I did it within 2 weeks ).
((when I applied for citizenship I did write that I had a Schizophrenia illness and I submitted my health table recods past 4 yers in canada ))

I want to know if they going to waive the exam or not ?

what is the next step for me??

and for how long am going to wait until I get my citizenship .

finally do i need to hire a lawyer for this ?

Your situation is very unique and I doubt any of us here will be able to provide any useful information regarding whether the exam will be waived and how long you will have to wait for citizenship. I think all you can do is wait and see what happens.

If you have a medical history shows that you have a Schizophrenia they will waive the exam. you should wait until they review you medical document that you sent
In my opinion they will check your background again to make sure that your medical issue did not affect the public.

Just wait and you will get your citizenship soon

I am sure CIC are doing investigation to know if you pose a risk to the public. Since you can write and read, they might request that you write the exam unless if your doctor stated otherwise. After the investigation, CIC will definitely write you. Good luck!

Should someone mention their medical condition if cic didn't ask for it or do they ask for it in the form?
