Hello,

I am immigrating to Canada from India in Dec 2012 under FSW PR. I intend to come back to India in a couple of months to get married.

I would like to know how should i go about applying for my spouse visa. Having heard of some changes in Spouse visa, i would like to know more about it.
I am mainly intending to know:
-Would i need to show funds? How much if so?
-Would she be required to show funds? How much if so?
-Any other details to be shown?
-Time taken approx for spouse visa grant
-etc....
Replies will be highly appreciated. (Please elaborate the details if possible).

Kind Regards,
Nick

Re: Canada Spouse Visa - India (New Rules) October 2012

Neither one of you has to show funds, though proving you have savings and investments won't hurt and may help show you can support yourselves once she gets here. You will have to show your income for the last year, but again, there is no minimum income.
Applications through New Delhi are quite fast: 35 days for the sponsor's part and 9 months for the applicant's part (to finish 80% of the apps, so yours could be much quicker).
