Hi everybody:
My child was born in the US, so she has 2 citizenship (US and China ).
In the details of family member part, it asks "country of citizenship", should I write both citizenship? Or should I say like this:
-country of citizenship: USA
-other countries with resident status: China

Thanks so much.

You should normally write both. I have 2 and have written both.

If you write both in "country of citizenship", what did you say in "other countries with resident status"?
Thanks.

Well. I left it, as my understanding of being a citizen of a country and having Right of residence permit are 2 different things.
As a citizen of a country you automatically have the right to live there anyway.

Lets see if someone has a different view.

I am a citizen of two countries (neither of which is US) but living in the US.

So for country of citizenship, put down one country.
For my country of residence, i put down US.

I don't remember them asking about "other countries with resident status". which form is that?

I did explain on an extra sheet of paper, that i am a citizen of two countries and gave details about both, like pp number, id number, expiry date of pp, country of issue, etc.

hope that helps.

Rupesh, How are you? How is your application getting on or are you already in Canada?

doing good. Busy though :(. I am still here....i am not so confident of my application, so the wait is more interesting than i thought lol.

Its weird that they ask that for the family members but not for the applicant or...are we supposed to fill that portion with the applicant's names as well (i.e. i am my own family member lol).

Hope all is well with you and your application is moving faster than mine.

Being Busy is good though.

Well, what I did was I just wrote under the "Your Country of citizenship":
ABC & XYZ.

Nothing is moving, although I expect something to happen in the next six months. I am sure u will get there b4 me (LOL)> Wish u all the best.

in some sense, i don't want it to happen quickly, i want to get my degree before the deadline to move to Canada.
But in another sense, i want to hear something.

Yeah, i would expect something to happen in the next 6months too. I guess, it is probably moving at the visa office except we are not kept uptodate on whats happening, so it seems slow to us.

Good luck to you too.

Cheers for the wishes.
That's okay. "Better late than never." And if does come earlier than expected, then just Land, Activate and get back.
Finish up and land finally. (That's what I am planning to do.)

There are 3 questions:
-country of citizenship
-current country of residence
-other countries with resident status

SO if my child is China and US citizen, and living in the US. Should I write down as the following?
-country of citizenship: China and USA.
-current country of residence: USA.
-other countries with resident status: N/A

BTW, how long have you guys been waiting since you submitted all of the documents?

Thanks guys.
