Got the Visa stamped. What next?

Hi All,
I'm happy to share that I got my visa stamped on passport from New York office. I would like to know the next steps, like which place to select, and education for children etc.
I'm an IT professional working in US for more than 9 years.
Please advise the next steps.

Congrats. I think you should first look for a job and then decide where to settle.

If you find some jobs on there and contact the employers, make sure to tell them that you are PR already (or will be when you land) so you will not need a work permit. If you are offered a job, it might be a good idea to google the town to find some information for example about the size of the town, the weather etc. but even better if you go there and visit.

Thank you Leon. Also, where can I get information on Children school systems, best places for education? Specially in Toronto area. I tried few web sites, but couldn't get clear information.

As far as I know, in most cases kids go to their neighbourhood schools. When you look for a place to live, you can ask the neighbours if the schools in the area are good.

Since you got your visa stamped, it might be nice if you can share the timeline with others like me who are also using the same route. I am also a professional applying from USA.

The application process was like this:
Applied through Buffalo office in Dec 2007. Application receipt came in Jan 2008. Application transferred to New York in March 2008. Submitted Name check and Police records in May 2008. Completed IELTS in June 2008. Submitted Medicals in Nov 2008. Got the approval in May 2009. Got the visa stamped in June 2009. Completing the landing procedure in Nov 2009. Hope the journey should be fine.
