My wife will complete her 1 year experience on 22nd January, 2020 as reflected in her job letter and the day of promotion. We are planning to go back home soon after creating EE profile and enter the pool. We wanted to go back on 17th Jan 2020 as we have a wedding to attend on 20th.

1) Can we create the profile with one week less the full 1 year experience?

2) would our leaving the country temporarily affect the application?

We wish to attend the wedding and have our profile enter the pool? If we come back and work one more week for full 1 year exp then we might miss 1-

You have to be a tad more specific - is she taking paid vacation and you plan to come back and continue working? Is she quitting her job before she completes one year?

1) Can we create the profile with one week less the full 1 year experience?

You will physically be able to create the profile, but you would not be able to accept an ITA until after she completes one year. (Well, you can, but she would be refused). IRCC advises submitting the profile only if you are qualified.

2) would our leaving the country temporarily affect the application?
See above. "Leaving the country" by itself has no impact. It is the circumstance under which you leave that has an impact.

It will not be a paid vacation. Basically We want to take 3 weeks off to go visit India and then come back to resume the job. I wanted to know if leaving few days before 22nd January 2020 would cause any issues in the full 52 weeks work exp. This is because her pay stub and position was changed on 22nd January 2019.

By leaving the country I meant taking 3 weeks off and returning to resume life in Canada. We were hoping to leave by 18th Jan 2020 in order to attend the marriage and be able to create the profile and enter the pool. Otherwise we will have to wait till we return and then create the profile. 4 days off work can disqualify one from 1 year exp requirement?

Thanks for the info

If she takes an unpaid leave of absence, she cannot count that time as work experience, but it does not disqualify her, of course not. There is no "continuity requirement" in the CEC class. But she will have to return and continue working until she has a full 52 weeks of experience before she is eligible

This is because her pay stub and position was changed on 22nd January 2019.
And what is the significance of this?

She plans to come back and continue working. So you are saying that once we come back and work the extra few days, only then we can create the profile? Does the 1 year work exp requirement matter at the time of creating profile or at the time of accepting ITA?

Significance of 22nd Jan 2019 is that is the day she was promoted to supervisor (NOC B) and from that day her increased pay is reflected in the pay stub.

See my first reply.

ITA.

Significance of 22nd Jan 2019 is that is the day she was promoted to supervisor (NOC B) and from that day her increased pay is reflected in the pay stub.
Translation - before Jan 22 she was in an unskilled position (not eligible) and after Jan 22 she was in a skilled (eligible) position?

Yes, after 22nd Jan 2019 she was in a skilled job. Therefore the dilemma of taking a non paid vacation 3-4 days before 22nd Jan 2020.
Since the 1 year requirement needs to be completed for accepting ITA and not creating the profile. I was wondering if we can create the profile when we leave (18th Jan 2020) and enter the pool. Then depending on the cutoff we may/may not get ITA. In case we do we just hold to accept it for as long as possible and come back to complete the 3-4 days extra work.
