This is insanity. Is Canada following the way of Australia and New Zealand?
No. IRCC would have cranked up the invites on CEC if they were going the AUS/NZ way. There used to be 12000 CEC invites per month. Now it came down to 2000 per month. The situation has nothing to do with specifically FSW or any other program. Something else is happening.

The most frustrating thing is that they have allowed IEC and Tourists but no FSW still hahhahahahha I still think it will happen very soon
I mean if they want to conduct all program draw this week why would they do CEC- specific draw
These cecs would be included in an all program draw

Why does Trudeau not want FSWs coming in?
Did some think-tank tell him that that they'll all vote for CPC/NDP in 2025?
I just do not get it at this point.

Anyway, things for CEC are ending soo lets see what will happen next. There can be a situation that there will not be any draw tomorrow till next week. Who knows, time will show.

We have not seen an FST specific program for a year. If they conduct it now it would be a waste of opportunity for FST applicants as some of them can get invitations through an all program draw as well. So it’s not reasonable
They have done it last year ;)

Not really. Take a look at the EE pool. A 2000 all program draw would have a cutoff in the 491+ range. So only about a 1/5th of these CECs would make it. All program draws don't make sense if they're less than 3000-3500 ITAs.
So you are saying those CECs won't be invited again if an all program draw happens tomorrow ?

It will be better if we will not see any draws till next week :) AS of now there is no point to continue with CEC. We can see that they do not want to invite anymore low CRS, think about it.

They cancelled all tourist visas last week, didn't they? Visitors have to apply again and the processing time is about 30 days, depending on your nationality. Can non-Americans cross the border between the US and Canada now?
Americans aside, I'm not convinced any tourist has set foot in Canada this year yet.

Yes, if they do 2000 FSW tomorrow or next week - it is really shitty news for FSW with less than 478 points. For us the best scenario - big FSW in two weeks

What I'm saying is only about 1/5th of CECs who got an ITA today would've gotten an ITA if it were a 2000 all program draw today. If there was an all program draw tomorrow, of course all CECs FSWs PNPs FSTs above the cutoff would've received their ITAs.
