Filing taxes on H1B status as a Canadian PR

I recently did a soft landing in Canada, stayed here for about 2 months while waiting on my H1B visa to get approved to return to the states. During this time I opened a checking and savings account in Canada with a debit and credit card, mainly because my visa went into administrative processing and I was uncertain of the outcome. I will now be returning to the states, my question is will I have to file taxes in both countries or only in the US. I am considered a US resident for tax purposes, having lived there for more than 12 years.
Your help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

No you likely don’t have to pay taxes. It would be better to close down any accounts in Canada. That would assure that you are non resident.
