Experts,

We are waiting for PPR since April, 2014. We have been asked to do some additional tests which we completed in October and submitted to RMO in Mid-November. God only knows that when we will receive the PPR but my closed WP is expiring on 31st January, 2014. I am about to send the application for WP extension through my employer. I need to know if I will get Open WP by default or will get closed WP only.

Those who had gone through similar situation, please share your experience.

Since you already have a PR in progress, you can apply for a bridging open work permit. Considering that you only have a month left, I would advise applying asap!

Hi,
if your employer renew your closed WP it will remain closed WP. On the other hand you can apply directly for BOWP (which is open). You have to do it before your current WP expires.

Hi,

At any case you will get open work permit.

Regards

Hi,
actually your info is incorrect. Vishal007 is currently on closed WP. If his employer renews it, it will remain closed. If Vishal007 himself submits for the BOWP and gets it, it will of course be open WP.

Thats not true , As far I can guess his current WP is ICT , If employer will apply he will get Closed WP.
