You need to get a job offer and then LMIA. An employer applies for the LMIA if they are unable to find a Canadian or PR to do the job. They have to write up a market assessment & show why hiring you will grow their business & allow them to hire more Canadians. It costs money & takes months to process. Then if approved, you apply for a closed work permit. The process will take months. Many employers don’t go through the process.
