Which is the faster,
i) if I apply for PR under CEC category as single
or
ii) I apply for PR under CEC category adding my spouse..??

Thanks to all for your advises..!!!

Thank u "Gogia"..
Did u have the same case?? Or do you have any example on basis of which arthis..?e you advising me this..??
Thanks for your reply..

More advises and opinions are welcome..!!

If you are married - then you must include your spouse in your application (even if your spouse does not plan to immediately accompany you to Canada) and your spouse must go through the medical and provide police certificates. If you are married, excluding your spouse from the application is not an option.

If you are married, but instead apply for CEC as single without including your spouse and land in Canada and become a PR using the visa you have been issued as a single person - then two things will happen:

1) You will never be able to sponsor your spouse
2) Your PR status may be revoked due to misrepresentation (for lying and saying you were single when you are actually married)

Ohhk.. thank you all..!!!
And to add my spouse in my file the only thing required is a legal on paper wedding. It doesnt matter if the spouse is at back home or here in canada and without any years of canadian work experience. Right??
N scylla where did I specify that I am married..!!! I asked which is the faster way..! Anyways thanks for your advice..!!! :)
all are very welcome to share their experiences and suggestions..!!! Thanks..!!!

Spouse is considered married here on the forum.tha'ts why we thought you were married.

spouse = wife or husband ..thats why scylla thought you were married .

If you apply as single which is only possible if you are indeed single, your file might be a little faster than if you are married because no background checks on your wife will be required which could delay depending on where she is. However, then you get married later and will have to return to Canada alone to sponsor your wife which can take anywhere from months to years depending on her home country during which time you may have to be separated as spouses of PR's are often denied temporary visas to Canada based on risk of overstay.

If you get married now before you get PR, you can apply for a work permit for your wife based on your permit so your wife can join you right away. You include your wife on your PR application and you both get PR together.

In my opinion, it would be better including her from the start and get PR together.

Why would you ask your initial question if you were not married!?! When you asked the question like that we automatically assume you are married.

If you are then unless you never want to sponsor them for Canada, you have no choice but to apply with them. If you are not, and we told you it was easier with a spouse, were you planning to buy one on amazon?
