Hi,

NOC code- 7313 : Refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics is a Skilled Trade.
Majority of skilled trades like Millwright worker, Welder & fitter, Refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics, Electrician, Plumber, Automotive mechanics, CNC Machinists, Sheet metal workers etc. etc. are in huge demand with higher wages across Canada. These are respected skilled jobs in Canada, and because of high demand for tradespeople... Canadian govt. has started a new Federal Trade Worker Category. Every province has it's own requirements for registration and accreditation of specific trades.
To know more see: http://www.careersintrades.ca/

You can consider doing practical trade course- 1 year certificates or 2 year diplomas in any of the skilled trades.
Here's the list of all recognized educational institutes in Canada, participating in OCWP+PGWP, listed according to Province:

Whereas, Electromechanical engineering diploma is like any other branch of engineering is a branch where you study overall analysis, design, manufacture and maintenance of equipment and products based on the combination of electrical/electronic circuits and mechanical systems. This is good... especially, if you are looking for further studies and work in higher level engineering. But, if you are looking for pure practical learning which will make you job ready immediately and has comparatively more job opportunities... then nothing better than skilled trades.

Best of Luck.
