DUI on study permit

I need a suggestion my studies is completed and my study permit is going to expire in next 6 months by 28-04-2022. I got all my transcripts and completation letter from my college, Last month i got DUI charges of 0.09 which is 0.0010 over limit i just wanna know that can i apply for workpermit ?
because someone told my i cam applu for workpermit but i could only get for 1 year instead of 3 years

The DUI is a big problem for your future in Canada.

The most important thing to do next is to hire a very good lawyer and get the charges reduced to a non DUI offence. If you are convicted of a DUI offence, then you will most likely need to leave Canada.

I don't know if IRCC will issue a work permit with charges still outstanding.

Yes of course i hired a lawyer and he gurantee me ro reduce a charges to careless driving which could effect only mu driver’s license not my record. Am just worried about thePGWP

I had a friend who got into an accident while driving under the influence while on his study permit he applied for PGWP his permit was granted till his trail date which was roughly a year but he had to leave the country after that. he had a good lawyer and his charges were dropped it was unfortunate but he can now apply for his PR without an issue.

Getting a good lawyer is key. Good luck.

My readings are very low and the second yhing is cop pulled over me randomly I didn’t male any mistake or break any rule, i am charged on 28-oct-2021 and my court date is on 23-dec 2021. So what you think i can i apply now or i have to wait for ayleast 1st hearing
And also the lawyer gurantees me to close the case within 4-6 months in 2-3 hearings withour trail
